ACER Won't Book After Using eRecovery Disks

I tried to restore Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit on a new 700GB hard drive on my ACER Inspire X3950 by using the 3 recovery DVD's that were created by ACER eRecovery Management Software. The computer won't boot even when Safe Mode is selected.

Is it a formatting issue of the new hard drive? The original hard disk was 1TB and had three partitions: PQSERVICE ~35GB, BOOT SERVICE (or some title like that) 100MB, and ACER with the remainder of the space. How should the new hard drive be formatted?

    The recovery disks should be able to format the hard drive without intervention

    starting with the recovery partition itself followed by the small Windows boot manager partition (100MB)
    then the C: drive (sometimes the hard drive has C: & D: of equal sizes)

    Do you have a copy of the Microsoft' s Windows 7 repair disk ?
    If you have access to another Windows 7 (32bit) PC you can build one

    see if this can repair the system start up files

    If not check all the files on the recovery DVD's are readable.

    Do you still have the 1GB drive to try re create the recovery DVD's ?

    were there any error messages as the files are copied off the recovery DVD's ?

    You can probably buy a new set of recovery DVD's from Acer if your recovery DVD's are faulty
