I have recently insatlled a microphone (it is in the correct socket at rear
of computer). I configure the volume in recording control (the default
recording device is c-media and I have the latest drivers) and I can record
without a problem. I then close down windows sound recorder or c-media's
recorder and then when I open it up again I can't record as the microphone
record volume has been set to zero. What is the problem?
