My Toshiba Satellite A105-S4527

My Sattelite won't boost up. I can see the initial screen pop up at start up but then it goes dark. The hard drive is fine, as I had the data recovered. How can I tell whether it's the motherboard. And if it is likely to be that, where is the best place to get a cheap replacement momtherboard.

Have you tried attaching an external monitor yet?
Also try booting up in Safe Mode - keep pressing the F8 key as soon as you power up.
