Opening files problem!!!

A client is running XP on their laptop They had a virus on their computer,
they did not take note of which one. Virus program cleaned it, but now when
they click on a Print Master file in the my documents folder, a message pops
up that windows cannot find "path to file". Make sure you typed the name
correctly and then try again. Then the file opens. If they open the file
within the program. there is no error message.

Any ideas how to get rid of the message that pops up?
