Try this:

Open WinZip and go to Options>Configuration>System>Associations. Make sure
that .ZIP (WinZip) is enabled.

Type in Start, Run:

For WinZip:
cmd /c assoc .zip=WinZip

To regain XP's in-built Zip support:
cmd /c assoc .zip=CompressedFolder
-and-
REGSVR32 ZIPFLDR.DLL
