Replacing a Graphics Card in a laptop

Hi, I was wondering if I could possibly upgrade and replace a graphics card from the following laptop: http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668594.php

I am not very competent in the laptop field of hardware and I could not think of a better place to find out information reguarding pooters, tomshardware. Yes I meant computers...Anyways, any information would be great if anyone has any knowledge on the situation. Thanks

  1. The answer is almost always no. It depends on the manufacturer, but most of the laptops that have upgradeable graphics are the really expensive gaming systems.

    Take a look here: http://www.mxm-upgrade.com/Table.html

If your laptop is not on the list, then it is most likely not happening. You can always contact Gateway and get a definitive answer, too.
  2. i agree ^ but can you tell me what exactly your video card is? i might be able to eliminate if its integrated or dedicated.

    It's integrated:

  4. So if it is an intergrated graphics card, you can more than likely not upgrade or can upgrade?
  5. if its integrated you cannot upgrade it.. sorry
dedicated cards are the ones that have a chance to be upgraded.
