I just upgraded my old computor and I could really use some help picking a new monitor.

Needless to say ANYTHING should be a huge improvement over my current one which is an old MAG LT765 Model 780 monitor. LOL

I want to spend less than $275 before taxes and any shipping.

My new system is the following:
Intel i7-950 CPU
Gigabyte GA-X58-3DUR motherboard
EVGA 1GB 460GTX model 1372 GPU
6gb DDR3/1600 Tri-channel memory
Antec Three Hundred Case
Sparkle SCC-750AF 750watt Gold Series Modular Power Supply
Cooler Master Hyper 212+
Western Digital 1TB Black 7200RPM HDD
Throw in a couple of extra fans along with an old hp dvd300i and a sony 52x cd player.

I was looking ar monitors and my head is spinning. I was looking at the following but am totally open to suggestions. I do want it to be good for gaming.

Viewsonic VP2365WB
LG E2340V
LG E2350V
LG 2360V
HP 2310M
Samsung p2370HD

I think that the Dell U2311H is suppose to be very good unit but I doubt that I can get it in my price range. I am open to most manufactures. I have been reading that IPs is the way to go but costly.
If anyone can leand a hand it would be appreciated.

The Dell U2311 is only $4 more than your maximum budget. Skip buying breakfast for a day or two, or order one less drink at a bar and you'll have that extra cash.

So would your 1st choice in the price range of $279 be the U2311H?

Yep. But I prefer IPS panels to TN panels though. Therefore, the slightly higher response time doesn't bother me.

I would have to agree with Jaguar - the U2311H is the monitor to get in that price range.
