Hi! i am going to upgrade my computer within some days. the items i am going to take are:

1)Asus P4P800-DLX M/B
2)Processor 2.40(C) H.T
3)512MB Dual DDR Kingstone(PC 3200)
4)Asus Radeon 9600XT

I wana know this that how much i can O/C the 2.40(C) on this M/B and how much can i O/C without increasing the Voltages.

I'd look at the 2.6C instead. It has a higher OCing ability.
OCing relies on lots of things (memory, voltages, cooling etc) so what might work for others might not work for you. I suggest you check out the Overclocking/CPU section of the forum. There is a sticky there that will start you out.

Good setup IMO. i'm doing a similar upgrade soon. the 2.4c should be able to reach 3.2ghz on stock vcore and cooler. all p4 are the same, just different multiplyer. i would run memory/cpu ratio at 5:4, so ram runs at rated speed. while the FSB is overclocked 267mhz to get 3.2ghz. LOOK for the SL6Z3 m0 stepping package, it's the best P4 2.4c stepping. the Asus P4P800 should be a good overclocking platform.

Dude read my post about System Specs Changed!! Stay away from the cost and problems with the Kingston Memory and get the Crucial RAM. Lower cost better performance and less hassle with BIOS set-up.

On the A7N8X we have the BIOS specialty set-up to run the whole system overclocked by simply setting it to run in 1 of three settings AUTO/AGGRESSIVE/MANUAL we have it set to AGGRESSIVE and the Crucial RAM is running like a champ.

The comparative Kingston memory never made it off the desktop into a game it started to fail five minutes into the desktop simply reading the Aida32 report.

The Crucial ram at half the price and ten times the performance goes into game online and runs like a sports car at all aggressive settings set.

Now if your going with 2.4C and HyperX ram buy at lesat PC3500. That's what I have for mine. OCed it to 3.0. Left the Voltages at stock.

For the same money or less buy 2.6C.

You know what made me even sicker still about the high dollar Kinston HyperX memory I purchased..... Even after it started to fail I could still run the A7N8X Deluxe motherboard off some old none matched PC2700 junk memory I had lying around the house.

They were even made by 2 separate company's 1 was from Spec-Tech and the other was from AZEN Ram corp. neither of witch I would recommend to anyone yet they still worked at their respective setting even with the BIOS crunched into Aggressive mode.

SO much for high dollar Kingston memory they just took them selves off my Christmas lists for life.

Gee to bad it didn't work on your Amd. Works great on my Intel.
