The following message recently started popping up, everytime shortly after I
start or restart my computer:

"16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\e45gd3.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:0521 IP:018a
OP:63 61 2c 20 73. Choose close to terminate the application."

Can anyone tell me what this means, how I can correct the problem and if
this might be causing me to have Internet connectivity problems?

Thank you!

From the random looking name of the .EXE, and the
fact that it has landed in your root directory, I would
say you've got a virus or spyware, etc.

Update your scanners and do a scan.

Thank you for responding. I was pretty sure it was a virus or spyware and
have already run my updated Adaware program and Virus program but they found
nothing. Is there another way that I can get rid of this problem?

Thanks!
