hi, considering an upgrade to T3 from my T2
one became available at a good price.

HERE IS THE QUESTION--

Seller says the slider does open if you give the unit a good flick.

My T2 is VERY firm. you must pull it open all the way - not excessive,
slides well, but there is NO play.

Flicking it open, is that TOO loose?

Please give opinions.

Thank you kindly

Not sure what flicking is! I have to pull mine and I have never had a
problem of it coming open on it's own. I love mine.

In about 2 weeks of use with a brand-new T3, my slider is loose
also. My T2, after over a year of daily use, is still solid as ever, no
play at all in the slider.

There are thousands of people with the loose-slider problem on
Tungsten T3 devices. Not much you can do about it, except complain and
deal with it. Palm refuses to acknowledge the problem.

I've seen some T3's where if you barely touch the bottom they close up. He
probably means that it doesn't take much to open it either. In my case, the
one I was looking at had a dull screen too so I definitely passed. Maybe
someone here nows if you can tighten the screws or something to give it some
strength back.
