I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 and i know it has a socket 478 Mobile P4 HT 533 bus. Now I also know intel will release a Prescott mobile P4 with 533 bus. Do you think it will be possible to put a 3.47GHz prescott in the dell laptop some time down the road? I would expect the i852PM chipset to support such a simmilar cpu. Maybe all i would need is a BIOS upgrade if dell puts the cpu in the 5150 line.

Ya don't say? Is that so?

I know this part. You might beable to upgrade to a high p4 like 2.8 800 or 3.2 With the new laptops that are out. But you are going to have to do research on it. Now you will never beable to use perscott On this Laptop For it going to have a differnt Pin and motherboard.
