IBM is notorious for statements like that. They have always said hey we did this first and whatnot. Fact of the matter is Intel has shown off 0.65u silicon as well but they don’t need the lime light because they don’t have old school investor’s ooh'n and aaw'n over selling their shares because the company is slowed down.

Don’t get me wrong IBM is a great company its just they are driven now by the image of being successful than actually being successful which they are. But not to the extent they want us all to believe they are.

Intel has working samples of 65nm and have mastered it already on memory chips.
