Does anyone know how to set the size of the windows that IE creates if for example you use Open link in a new window? I want them to open to a maximized window.

They need to be resized manually:

Start I.E., right-click any link on a web page, and select "Open in a New Window".

Go back to the first I.E. window you opened and close it.

Return to the second window and manually drag it to fill the screen.
(Do not use the maximize button, because that's a temporary setting that will not be retained.)

Now press the Ctrl button, and close this second window, holding the Ctrl button depressed, using 'Close' in the File menu (important!).

All windows should now open maximized.

You can also use this:

Or use a slightly different interface, like <A HREF="http://www.crazybrowser.com" target="_new">Crazy Browser</A>, which offers tabbed browsing for multiple windows, but runs off the I.E. rendering engine, which keeps down the file size.

Personally, I use Crazy Browser, because of the additional features, like having the sites listed as tabs, better keyboard shortcuts, a built-in pop up banner killer, website grouping, and an auto refresh timer. And yes ... all the windows open up maximized.

for 1024x768 resolution:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
window.moveTo(screen.availWidth-1028,-4);
window.resizeTo(1032,screen.availHeight+8);
</script>

for unknown resolution (depends on clients):
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
top.window.moveTo(0,0);
top.window.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight);
</script>

You may also write a function so when people click on some links, it'll open the new window at max resolution.
