He everybody.

I'm considering buying an Asus laptop (as that's the brand i like the most except Lenovo that are more expensive) with 14-14,1 inch screen but I don't know what type to get.

1_What is your budget? I can go up to $1600 but i would like to spend under or around $1000

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 14-14,1 Inches

3_What screen resolution do you want? not under 1366*768

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? It has to be portable as i will use it in university

5_How much battery life do you need? The more the better

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Not a requirement but would be a good bonus.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, watching movies, Etc.) Watch movies and play music.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? 320 GB +

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?
As long as possible, 4 years +

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? DVD burner

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. Asus and Lenovo

13_What country do you live in? Will be moving to denmark soon but UK is also ok.

Any help will be appreciated.

Well, i'm ready to consider it if it's a great deal, but these are the brands that I, and people I know, have had the best experience with.

I have an ASUS-related question here. What's the difference between these:

1. 3 Year ASUS U.S. Warranty, 24/7 Support, 1 Year Accidental Coverage & 2-Way Pre-Paid Shipping for Repairs
2. 3 Year Parts/Labor Warranty 24/7 Tech Support w/ LCD Accidental Damage Protection

Does the 1st one not cover parts and labor? Or is the $369 just for 3 years of LCD protection? Or maybe the 2nd one is from Xoticpc since it's not labeled as "ASUS"?

I don't know exactly but i think its because of LCD protection.
You can ask Xoticpc to be sure ,they have a great support
