P4 prices to drop soon ?

I read that the 2.8ghz with HT is going to drop to ~178 on February 1st...anybody know if there is any truth to this? I'm about to build a new system and I figure its worth waiting a week if this is the case.

Looking at the Intel and AMD roadmaps for the next year, I can only predict that prices on current chips should drop nicely in the near future.

Higher end P4 northwood will drop after the release of prescott processors on february 2. Do you even care for the prescott's?

Intel anounced it, it was in the news, you should read the news at THG on the right hand bar. At least Tom's should have reported it since it comes from their main source.
