what is with the small patch on the die. Did you get it new? Kinda looks like it's been heated a bit. If it is new, i'd be thinking ram or psu as the problem.

ram is fine. the mouse pointer just leeps freezing, it can still be used though. the pointer stays put and it's like having an invisible pointer. not long after the whole system locks up. PSU is also fine. I am thinking of getting in a priest as it is obviously possessed.

Are you using an IR mouse? Maybe check in device manager, or try a different mouse.
