Hi,

This is my first time doing this sort of stuff so I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I've got a 33 GB avi file in MS-YUV format that I want to compress using DivX 5.02 . I'm using the program virtual dub. What kind of settings shoudl I use? The DivX menu presents me with all sorts of things, most of which I don't understand. I was hoping maybe you guys knew from experience what settings might be anywhere ballpark of optimal. And also, this file was recorded from cable TV (via video capture card) so I should do an inverse telecine, right?

Thanks.
