ALL ICONS CHANGED TO VLC

Dear all,

Some how my desktop icons changed in to vlc player. It also effected my start menu..In start menu also every options got changed to vlc. What ever i choose the vlc player starts running.

Can any one tel me what i need to do to clear this issue

just pick a .exe file and set default open with explorer program. You can find this option in properties and then click to open with option and change it to explorer. Explorer can be found into windows directory in your C: or the drive in which windows is installed.

I found what worked for me when I installed it on a Windows 10 machine, when vlc is installing, it gives you the option to install other files while installing your basic audio & video files. Just uncheck everything else and install the programs default audio & video files only and you should be good to go.
No need to mess with other windows settings or registry.
