I'm looking to get a mid range laptop computer that will last me 3-4 years. Right now I'm looking at an Asus computer with an ATI HD5470 (1GB DDR3 memory) card and a very similar Toshiba laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce 310M card with 512MB memory. The Asus computer is about $50 more, but the two computers are almost identical in all other specs.
Now I don't play a whole ton of graphics intensive games (Fallout 3 and ME2 are the most recent games I've played) and don't mind low settings and middling framerates, but I would like this computer to last 3-4 years and still be able to get a new game or two to at least run. Will I be cursing myself by not shelling out the extra $50 (and 3 day wait for online ordering) and getting a computer with a DX11 card?
