my rig

2.8c @ 250mhz
OCZ PC3200 (2x256)
Ati 9500Pro 360/310
Asus P4P800
Allied 400w psu

Everything runs cool but i run ram async from cpu and i take a performance hit from that even though 3dmarks are still better because of raw mhz. Would getting rid of these bh5 sticks for some PC4000 be worth an upgrade to run 1:1. Or would saving for another month for a 9800Pro be a better choice. Current best 3dmark01se - 15035 -

9800Pro sounds like an obvious choice but is running 1:1 at those speeds worth it also to take full advantage...i had no idea my cpu would oc that high with just some quality air cooling.

Faster memory will help but a video card upgrade will speed things up more dollar wise for games.

You are looking at about the same price difference.

I aint signing nothing!!!

Save a little longer, ati and nvidia have started to ship chips to the card manufacturers, for the next generation video cards. Two months tops. Should be a great battle for your video card dollar.

I always thuht that 3200 ram wasnt fast enough to deal with the p4 800fsb, something to do with lost cycles or something? I thought you needed ddr400 to take full advantage of the 200x4 fsb :|
