I3-330M vs T6600

I'm undecided as to which laptop i should purchase(Toshiba A505-S6012 or HP G71-340us). They both cost around the same the only difference is the toshiba laptop has the i3(DDR3) and the hewlett packard has the T6600(DDR2). I'm looking for a laptop that i can use for a while without having to upgrade every year. Which should i purchase?
