Dell i5, ati hd 5470 vs vaio i3, ati hd 5650

Hello,
i am planning to get a laptop ...please help me select between these two.Why is one preferred over the next. i have just normal use with some gaming.

dell core i5 430m,320 gb hdd, 15.6 led screen, 4 gb ddr3 ram , ati hd 5470 1 gb .

sony vaio - core i3 330m, 500 gb hdd,15.6 full hd, 4gb ddr3 ram,ati hd 5650 1gb .

The second one will give you a far better gaming experience whereas the first one wins in CPU intensive apps

The 5470 is not much better than a stock Intel HD onboard graphics card. The 5650 is impressive for it's price point though.

The best deal I've found with a laptop is the Acer AS7740-6364. I actually just ordered one from Newegg and can't wait to get it.

Apps like PhotoShop,3D Max and other image/video editing benefit from a faster CPU.

The first one would be a better option because the deal includes i5 processor and hd 5470 is not bad at all (I have it) .. n it runs demanding games like crysis, mafia 2, call of duty 4, GTA 4 quite smoothly n as u sed u r not much into gaming than it's better 2 go for a stronger processor bcoz i3 330m is only 2Ghz i guess so it wudn't qualify the pc requirements of demanding games (if u intend 2 play them)

Honestly, for what you want, you don't need anything so powerful. You'd be wasting your money. What you seem to want to use it for is very easy for any laptop to do. I would recommend this for you:
