yep thats the question.

preferably one that would monitor more than jsut the PCU temp, but i don't know how many things software can monitor without special thermostats in the case.

like can it monitor memory temp, cpu temp, hdd temp without adding any hardware.

but yeah must have CPU temp in there somewhere :D

thanks guys

Google for mbm5. It will show temps and fanspeeds,if they have the hardware.

Yup, mbm5 is a good one - if your mobo has a sensor for it, it should be able to show it...

But I'm not aware of anything that'll show you RAM & HDD temperature, as no mobo I'm aware of has sensors for those - you'd have to add a little temperature probe of some description.

Well, some drives will monitor their temperature and report it via SMART. I don't know of any Windows software that reads that though. I know of a few Linux apps to do so, but I imagine we're not interested in those.

interesting... didn't know that. So I guess it's theoretically possible for some drives at least.

you'd be hard pressed to find a prog to monitor all of those things, but, MBM is good, however, so is ASUS PROBE if you have an Asus motherboard anyways. Get it from their web site if you have an Asus board.

XP-Pro SP-1
Celeron 2G @ 2672Mhz (133fsb) stock voltage
Asus P4GE-V motherboard
512MB PC2100 DDR RAM
GeForce3 Ti200 oc'd @ 225/500 with lapped TT Crystal Orb and ram sinks
19" monitor
