I have a home build with a DX58S02 motherboard that makes use of Intel HD Audio, and up until now I have been using the on board audio, but I'm looking for a card that will provide a little better quality. Does anyone have any thoughts on a solid mid-range card?
I'm looking for something for gaming/movies, listening to music, and I also occasionally plug in my electric bass guitar to my desktop to play along with music. I either listen through Beats headphones, which have high quality sound, or a Logitech Z5500 surround sound system that has decent quality, but notably good bass.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
