Viewsonic VG930m monitor blank, no power light

Power light does not come on although there is power through the AC cord. I've gone through all the ViewSonic trouble shooting proceedures. I believe its something internal.

Hello,

Yes, the Viewsonic units are known to have an issue with the power supply board but you can do the repair yourself. The problem with the board is a failure of a few parts called capacitors on the power supply board. When they fail they prevent the power board from starting. Re the post above, should point out that in our monitor repair thread (see my earlier post) we indicate that you don't have to replace all the capacitors and that capacitors are very cheap items -- do it yourself should not cost more than $5.

I found a UTube video that showed how to fix the problem. I simply replaced a capasitor that failed in the power supply.
