I'm building a new computer. P4 2.8c and Asus P4P800. I'm trying to figure out what memory to get. Since timings don't make that much difference until you go over CL3 I'm looking to get 1GB of CL2.5 memory. I'm also thinking of doing a little overclocking so I'm figuring to get PC4000. Last but most important I'm on a budget. I'd really rather not spend more than $175. I'm looking at this;

Any opinions or alternate suggestions?

P.S. I'm sort of doing this on the presumption that if you get higher speed memory with slower timings you can run it at slower speeds with faster memory timings. (ie. PC4000 3-3-3-8 running at only 200mzh can be set 2-2-2-5) Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. I'm worried because the Dual Channel P4 systems seem to have had a lot of memory issues and I have not found any good info about how those memory issues affect overclocking.

That price looks too good to be true. I cannot imagine a reason not to buy it for that price, though I do have to wonder if the old addage of "you get what you pay for" will rear its ugly head.

I know...That's why I'm worried.

Has anybody else gotten memory for BuyAIB.com or Alpha International Business?

Any Low cost good quality memory recommendations?

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from AIB. These folks are just out to scam people, usually renaming memory modules among other things.

You can check it out at reseller ratings dot com.

Yikes!!!.....Glad I asked. I looked at the seller reviews. They were not pretty.

So does anybody know where I can get good memory on the cheep? I'm looking to get 1GB of PC4000 but it doesn't have to be 2-3-3-7-T1 something 3-4-4-4-8-T2 would be fine. I'd like to stay under 2.5 though if I can.

How about this?
