Acer Travelmate heating issues

I just got my new Acer Travelmate 803 Cli centrino notebook. The performance is great. But the left palm rest heats up a lot. I think this is where the 60 GB hard drive is located. Before I send it back for service I was wondering if any of you guys had the same problem or have heard of this problem because if it's a design issue there isn't really any point of me shipping it out to Acer.

it might be the 7200rpm hitachi one, ot sure but I don't think you can fix the heat issue.

mmm, I don't think it would be the 7200rpm one, but it might be. The 5400rpm drives heat up quite a lot too - I agree with papa, it is unlikely that it can be fixed. If it is a 5400rpm (or 7200rpm) drive, you could replace it with a slower, cooler running 4200rpm drive. But the heat really shouldn't bother you - then again this is an Acer.
