There few thing that have to be point out before.DDR 400 is never use in big server DDR 333 is not commom eithers if never use.Intel and AMD been allwayse when it come to SPEC unlike SUN or IBM.P4 ee have more peak flag optimization more that the others.It also use DDR 400 it score would have been lower ton the others side real apps dont run like SPEC.For itanium that have a lot of fonction that can be use in spec for extra performance while in the real world is not use for many reason.

Itanium have tendency to beat it closet competitor by a margin of 100% or more but in win/lose it stay equal to Op64.The 64 bit mode help a lot when it come to FPU unlike ALU.AMD got 1 advantage that is not show in this they can use the mode they like eithers 64 or 32 bit they can use fastest unlike P4EE or I2.ICC 8 result start to be release it seem that intel got a others performance boost for there CPU from Petium original to P4.There is no Itanium benchmark or for opteron using ICC 8.0.<P ID="edit"><FONT SIZE=-1><EM>Edited by juin on 02/08/04 09:56 PM.</EM></FONT></P>
