Difference in Quality of the CPUs for Alienware M15x

The two CPU choices that i am looking at for the Alienware M15x are:

1) Intel® Core™ i5-540M 2.53GHz (3.06Ghz Turbo Mode, 3M cache)
2) Intel® Core™ i7-620M 2.66GHz (3.33Ghz Turbo Mode, 4M cache).......($100 dollars more)

here are the specs i have chosen:

CPU: ???
OS: Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit
Graphics: 1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 5850
RAM: 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
HDD: 500GB SATAII 7,200RPM

I am wondering what the difference in performance is and if the i7 is worth the extra money. I am using the computer for gaming(such as CoD:MW2...Battlefield 2/2142/Bad Company..etc)/finances.

Thanks.

100Mhz faster in normal and 300Mhz in turbo mode and also having more cache is worth it for $100 IMO

Yes but its a laptop,so the BIOS option may be limited, therefor you have to use 3rd party apps for OC'ng it which isn't recommended

I would go with the i7.. I myself and doing the same, but with the m17x. I am going for longevity, and the $100 will last me longer gaming wise than cheaping out atm

Just a side note, doesn't the i7-620M come with an integrated GPU as well?
