hello, my laptop only works on DHCP and not having internet access when I try to change it PPPOE with ID and Passcode. I am not able to connect when I change it to PPPOE. I know the method and steps but not able to get connected to Internet when I change it to PPPOE. Any suggestions or reasons?? Please help.

Your ROUTER or MODEM needs to connect through PPPoE. Your Laptop obtains an IP address through DHCP. You can set a static IP (on your own local network), but these things are not related.

You need to log into your router/modem and set it with your PPPoE settings. Your laptop is fine on DHCP, unless you plan to use it as a server...
