Laptop is acting real strange

Hi there .My laptop is acting weird as when I boot up I get to the desktop but thats it. I cant seem to get onto a program. Can u Help please?

Normally this issue is caused by a power problem. Either a failing power supply or a bad connection or a warped or cracked motherboard. It is very possible for the psu to be bad and still spin all the fans and drives. They tend to fail in stages. The only thing you can do with the bios is to update it but if it does not boot I am not sure you can at this point.
