Say money is no object. What would be the best 17inch + laptop would you buy. I am looking at an Alienware m17 and a Sager 8120.

High Dragon's Age, High Bioshock 2 High Diablo3 (when it comes out)

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

I have had good luck with Alienware and PC Torque

SAGER NP8120 is currently the fastest notebook available but Alienware will soon let users choose 2 HD 5870Ms in M17x which makes it faster than the SAGER one,but if you can't wait then go for NP8120,its an excellent choice.

Found a 17 inch SAGER Sager 9280 with the following processor:

Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition | 3.60GHz | 12MB Intel Smart Cache - 6 Cores/12 Threads


as opposed to the NP8120 with : 7-920XM Extreme (2.0~3.2GHz, 55W) w/8M L3 Cache - 10Gb/s DMI I/O BUS

Which is ultimately faster? The Sager 9280 processor has more cores and more cache but does not have SLI capability?

The 9280 will be faster if you need CPU power. However, the faster CPU will not outweigh SLI graphics cards when it comes to gaming. Better GPUs come first when you are talking about gaming. Thus, the 8120 is better if you plan on mostly playing games.

NP8280 has a faster CPU but it runs hotter and has 1 graphic cards
