Say money is no object. What would be the best 17inch + laptop would you buy. I am looking at an Alienware m17 and a Sager 8120.

Thank you. Wow fast response. This forum rocks another question if I can.

Found a 17 inch SAGER Sager 9280 with the following processor:

Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition | 3.60GHz | 12MB Intel Smart Cache - 6 Cores/12 Threads


as opposed to the NP8120 with : 7-920XM Extreme (2.0~3.2GHz, 55W) w/8M L3 Cache - 10Gb/s DMI I/O BUS

Which is ultimately faster? The Sager 9280 processor has more cores and more cache but does not have SLI capability?


 
The 9280 will be faster if you need CPU power. However, the faster CPU will not outweigh SLI graphics cards when it comes to gaming. Better GPUs come first when you are talking about gaming. Thus, the 8120 is better if you plan on mostly playing games.
