How high can I go?

I built a AMD 2000+ Athlon XP on a A7V8X board using 1 PC2700 256 chip. Id like to upgrade the CPU but cant find anywhere if this board is compatable with the Barton line. Id like to replace the 2000+ with the 3000+ Barton. Is this possible? If im unable to do this due to the mobo's compatablity, then what is the fastest CPU I can install on this board? -Thanks.
