Minolta/QMS Magicolor 2200 help.

Magicolor 2200 desklaser print problem ... paper smears in colors for approx. 1 - 3 pages after the unit has cooled off. Then with warm up it seems to be okay. This happens after I change ink cartridges. It's almost as if ink spilled from the cartridge, but I think it needs a cleaning, but I can't find anything on the web or in the manual that talks about how to clean the machine.
