Headset microphone and speakers do not work

When I use my headset/mic for a teleconference, I can hear what others are saying in the call, but they cannot hear me. (I'm using Win 7/64-bit.)

When I use the same headset/mic on a computer running Win XP (sp3), everything works.

FYI, I purchased a second identical headset/mic, but I've gotten the same results with Win 7.

You are either plugging it in the wrong jack on the Win 7 computer or you have something muted in the options, your default sound device for mic may be set wrong also.
