With Windows Remote Assistance can I reboot the computer I am assisting to start

I used Windows Remote Asistance the other evening to fix a friend's laptop. I was wondering, If I had to reboot my friend's laptop into safe mode would the connection be lost?

Yes, any startup applications will need to be restarted in safe mode manually by your friend.
