Can I put a mobile AthlonXP2800+ in to it and call it a day or will the board reject it
Or can I put a non mobile normal Athlon xp in it. I don’t care about power now would like to I could kill it now. so if a Athlon xp would work than hell ya
And one more thing if I unlock the mobile AMD Athlon XP2400+ I have now would I get a better speed out of it. I can not change the bios settings there is all most nothing to set in the bios.

The 2400 is the last 266 fsb athlon xp made, so you can't upgrade it, it goes up to 333 after that. Unless your motherboard supports it, but its a hp, so I doubt they'd leave much possibility for upgrade.

XP2000, 256ddr 2100ram, GF4 MX440, XP Pro

Yes it is a laptop. No it is not OEM its NFR (not for retail) got it from a networking HP partner and it is fast as hell for $1400
So now you know it’s a laptop think unlocking the L1 on the XP-M would make it faster

Splendid
The xp-m chips are all unlocked from the factory. If you had control of the multiplier, you could change it.
Afaik all xp-m chips use the 133 (266) fsb so the xp-m 2800+ should work as long as you can update the bios for it.
