When kb 890830 is downloaded the second tuesday of the month does it automatical

when kb890830 is updated once every month is it sent to my computer through updates or do i have to download myself as far as getting my computer scanned

Depend on if your computer set to do auto update or not.

That update is downloaded automatically if you have that option set. Here's what MS says:
