S video to rca , does not show colour on tv

Hello,

I have bought s video to rca plug, and i attached it to my toshiba notebook and tv, but on the tv, BLACK N WHITE picu
picture appears and NOT coloured. Can anyone please help how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

It seems like it could be a bad cord. Your best bet would be to return it and try another brand. If that doesn't do the trick, report back.

this is normal, svideo is b and w anyway only works in colors when a video camera is plugged to it and the source is the camera not the opossite.

I am not getting what you mean by "only works in colours when a video camera is plugged to it"-You mean I should plug a video camera to my laptop and attach the S-Video Audio to RCA plug and then the laptop COLOUR PICTURE will show as a COLOUR PICTURE ON TV AS WELL?
