Hello,

I have Windows 7 on Laptop. My mouse stopped responding in the Windows normal mode but functions fine in the Safe mode. I restarted the laptop several times but the problem remains.

Thanks

When in safe mode open Start, right click on computer, properties, click device manager. Then click on the mouse and delete it. Re-start your computer and it should re-load your driver. Also, which mouse are you using? It may require special drivers. Did you get a CD with the mouse? If so, try loading the drivers from there. At least leave the CD in the drive when you boot from the instructions above.

Thanks for your help. I do not use external mouse but only the built-in in my laptop.

Download the tracpad software from your manufacturer and load it. You might have to temporarily attach an external mouse to do this.
