Check below for some more posts on a Mobile XP2500+. I have two of them but have only tested them on NF2 motherboards. I do have a GA-7VAX I could test it on, and actually had planned on doing so soon. Your board is the same but with Raid. I can't make promises as to how soon I will test it. I am swamped right now. But maybe i'll grab that system and try it out for a breather some time this weekend.

Oh and the mobiles are 266 fsb bus chips by default. But sure you can run them on at 333 fsb, and 400 or higher on NF2. What is the highest multiplier you have on that board? I'd check but mine isn't currently hooked up now. That will determine the OC potential. Would you be be happy with 166* 12.5? or possibly 175/180? I have honestly not tried to OC my GA-7VAX as it has a palamino XP2100+ and Crucial PC2100 in it.

thanks for the reply
iv not tryed to oc mine as yet. im just thinking it would be cheaper to buy a 2500 and oc it rather than buy a 2800 or 3000.

I think you should be able to just up the fsb from 133 to 166, or maybe a little more. With a 166 fsb you would have a speed of about 2325 mhz. To bad you cant fix the pci and agp buses, but you should still get perf equal to an xp3200+.

"To bad you cant fix the pci and agp buses" Kinda like your A64 system right. Sorry Endyen, I couldn't resist. But nice UT2004 scores I must say.
