any kernel from the latest 5 years supports the cpu in terms of cores, any kernel from the last year will work well with that cpu interms of instructions.
on the igp side, consult google on the level of igp support in intel's open source driver.

Daggs is right. You can use virtually any modern Linux distro, including OpenSuse 11.2. In addition to OpenSuse, I would suggest you look at Ubuntu as well. Further, I would recommend you use a 64-bit version. Enjoy!
