I have a Home network using cable modem and Linksys cable router 4 ports which come with a firewall built in. all pc with win 2k working fine. what setting do i need to change to be able to watch streaming video. with Ms.Media player.
it hangs after streaming for a few second. need to reboot whole system

That sounds like a Windows Media Player error...Streaming video doesn't require any open ports on YOUR end.
