I planing to buy a new computer with a AMD. I know that for Intel, Pentium cpu are better than Celeron cpu but, I want to have a AMD cpu. And the question is what is the what is the better cpu for AMD ?? Is Athlon = Pentium and Barton = Celeron??

Barton is the CPU core of the athlon xp.
Basically for what you are asking..
Athlon XP = Pentium 4
Duron = Celeron
Athlon64 = ...

If you are looking for a good web surfing machine with maybe some RTS gaming, DURON is great for it.

If you want a higher powered gaming machine then a Athlon XP or Pentium 4 will do you justice.
