no one really knows,it would depend upon the stepping(batch) of the one you got;but theoretically the 2600 and as fewer of them are being bought you might get one with a very superior stepping. For overclocking performance a better question is what ram will you use winbond bh5 preferred to bh6(these are chipsets not brands). It's possible to stably overclock the fsb to 220 on nf7-s v.2.0 mobos(see ocz for info).

basically, if you are overclocking, get PC3500 (ddr433) or pc3700

Basically thereis 3 Mobile barton available, 2400/2500 and 2600. I didn't find the answer I needed, but here is my conclusion :

Since I don't want to change my DDR333 memory to DDR400/433. I think the Mobile 2600+ is a better choice, because it runs at 2.13GHz (133*16). So, if I buy one I could try 167*16 = 2.66GHz. I think the Mobile 2600+ have the advantage of HIGHER maximum multiplier and it's unlocked. And for the price : it's only 8$US more.

Pretty good, if you can get that memory working with FSB of about 240MHz with a Barton, I'm pretty sure you can't get much higher even with high-quality DDR550 on your MB.

Buy moneywise! I mean don't get overpriced DDR-RAM for only a few MHz...

The 2400-2600 are pretty much the same chips but the of those 2 the 2500 has had better results than the 2600 but still make sure you have good cooling for those higher mhz.

Mobile Barton 2500+ @ 2420mhz 11x220 1.7v
Asus A7N8X Dlx 440 FSB
1gb Geil GD pc3500 Dual Channel (2-3-3-6)
Segata 80gb SATA 8.5ms seek
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro(420/720)
