Open a cd

Hello, I have a herald Library cd which I want to access , using windows 7 now and I get message "version of this file is not compatable with the version of windows your running check your computer system info to see whether you need a x86(32=bit) or 6464 bit) version of this program and then contact the software publisher > this worked in windows Vista , now what ? am I out $100.?? any help appreciated

This is just an option but I guess there will be others. What I have done is opened a Virtual machine on my Win7 64 and use my XP32 Disc to load the OS, so that now I can use all programs that will operate on 32 only, such as Printers Scanners ETC: The Virtual Machine is Free From Microsoft (I prefer VMWare the free version). You can Load the CD on the Player.
