I have a laptop from toshiba that I made a cd off the music on here before. Now it is saying no burner is found what should I do

Sounds like a problem with the drive. As you should be able to burn a CD using Windows Media Player -- i.e. without downloading a third party burner program*.
Have a look at Control Panel, System, Device Manager and see if the CD/DVD drive is present or yellow flagged as faulty.
