This is the build I am making, will this be great for straight up gaming or just good, cause I'm shootin for greatness coming off of my current 4850, Q8400 build haha.

wrong forum section. this should have been posted in the new build area.

that said: a few comments listed in order that you listed (generic advice, i'm not clicking links here)

-haf is good but overrated. antec 900d is just as nice.
-why phenom? its hard to recommend anything but an i7 nowdays. prices are reasonable and its a powerhouse.
-you don't need a special heatsink if you plan on running stock. even with i7. good thermal paste is a great idea though.
-have you thought about raid 1? just an idea (but trust me, its nice if one fails!)
-why 8gb? i have 6 and i've never used more than 50%.

-do a power consumption check on a website (search google). 750 sounds reasonable for what you listed (but double check this).
-no comment. (i use strictly nvidia so i can't give feedback)
