Hp dv6 battery draining very fast

Hello,
i have hp dv6 laptop about 1.5 year old before if it was fully charged it can last more than an hour now even if it is fully charged it lasts less than 10 mints.Can anyone tell me any solution. thanks

Your battery is dying. It will happen eventually to any battery. But if you don't take good care of it, it can happen very quickly. It is important that when it 100% charged, that you unplug your A/C cable from your laptop, and let the battery be used instead. Or, a better way to do it, is take out your battery, put it in a little pastic bag, and put it in a nearby place and use it whenever you may need it for an emergency... if you are in college, this won't apply, but it is still important to take care of it...

This has happened to me with my asus laptop. It used to survive for 2 hours and now it only lasts 30 mins after 2 years. I took the battery out as I only use it at home. This is because the battery looses its capacity the longer you have had it.
