I think there may be cooling issue with my sp94. Please help with any suggestions/comments .

Am running a p2.8 on an IC7-G mobo. Case temp in both scenarios below ~ 30C

Previous setup: intel stock hsf with thermal pad
idle temp: 45C
under load (prime95 torture): 64/65C

Replaced today with: SP94, 92mm acoustifan with arctic silver 5.
idle temp: 45C - Exactly the same as my stock HSF
Under load (prime95 torture): 59C

I expected to see my cpu idle and load temps to be lower than the results show.

Please help with any suggestions you might have.

You may need an extra case fan to move more air out. My p4 temps rose today about 5 degrees celcius. It was a warm day in south Texas. These cpus are pretty tough. I've posted mine a few times to check voltages without a heatsink, when it was hot to the touch. No problem. The throttle down mechanism has prevented any lasting damage.

Currently have 5 case fans (exluding power supply fan) in a Chieftec midi tower.

2 on the front for intake, 2 at the rear for exhaust and 1 intake on the side panel.
